How these pieces fit
Nuno felt has no seams and no fixed structure, so it falls differently on different bodies rather than fitting to one measurement. Most pieces are cut generously and sit well across a wide range of sizes. The scarf, for example, is about 1.2 m long and 60 cm wide, which wraps, drapes and folds several ways on almost anyone.

Checking a measurement against something you own
Lay a similar garment flat without stretching it. Measure length, width across the bust, shoulder and sleeve, and compare those with the measurements listed. Expect small differences: every piece is shaped and finished by hand, so no two come out identical.

Caring for silk and wool felt
Treat the piece the way you would treat fine wool.
- Hand wash in cool water with a detergent made for wool. Never use hot water, which felts the wool further and shrinks the piece.
- Do not rub, wring or twist. Move the piece gently through the water and let it soak rather than agitating it.
- Press the water out between your palms, then roll the piece in a dry towel and press again.
- Dry flat, away from direct sun and away from radiators. Reshape it while it is still damp; it will hold the shape you give it.
- Never tumble dry.
- Steam lightly if needed. Do not press a hot iron onto the surface, which flattens the felted texture.
- Store folded rather than on a hanger, so the weight of the piece does not pull it out of shape.
Between wears, airing is usually enough. Wool resists odour, and less washing means a longer life.
